My key areas of research activity are linked to environmental technologies and processes. I am actively involved in the development of the Environmental Technology Centre (ETC) as a major resource in the UK having a major focus for technology transfer; as such I am involved in seeking funding and research opportunities for the University and developing products and services to business utilising the Universities capabilities.
I have a background in electrical engineering with some mechanical and chemical engineering skills. My main interests are in the application of environmentally friendly technologies and in the recycling and recovery of materials. ETC's main functions are: business support, research and teaching. I am responsible for Knowledge Transfer, Commercialisation and Regionalisation agendas in the Faculty of Engineering.
I am a Non-Executive Director for a renewable energy company based in Nottinghamshire and I am actively seeking collaborations regarding waste to energy opportunities.
