Corporate strategy, business strategy, strategic management and the like are often seen primarily as the concerns of the top managers of large corporations. And entrepreneurship is thought to be about exceptionally innovative or creative individuals.  Newer thinking about organisations and how they are managed suggests that this is wrong.

So don't expect to hear a "text book" guide to writing a strategic plan or becoming an entrepreneurial star!

Prof. Tony Watson

This workshop, lead by Professor Tony Watson, will show you how strategic thinking and everyday entrepreneurial action, together with organisational efficiency, is the key to successful strategy making.  Through real-life case studies Tony will explore how strategic thinking can be adopted by anyone and everyone within a business and deployed effectively as long as the business has a broad strategic direction.

You will be able to share your own experiences of developing business strategy and gain your own insights into how developing a new, strategic, way of thinking about your business can help achieve success.
The workshop will start at 0900 and finish no later than 1630; lunch will be provided, as will refreshments throughout the day. As a result of significant funding subsidies this event is priced at £50 per person and includes a copy of all the material delivered throughout the workshop.

This informative and interactive workshop is specifically tailored to the needs of small and medium sized businesses.
