A series of open public lectures presented by leading experts in their fields from business, education and the public sector.  Each event is free-standing and presents an opportunity for the speakers to put forward their thoughts, ideas and experiences and then for everyone to engage in discussion and debate.

'The Importance of International Links to Local Authorities'


Jane Todd will discuss the importance of international links to local authorities and the areas they represent, be they economically based such as Nottingham's business links with Timisoara in Rumania, or educational, as the University of Nottingham's link with Ningbo demonstrate.  She will discuss the strategic benefits of international links and the positive impact community involvement with other countries can have.  Jane will also feedback on her recent trip to Bolivia to open a woman's centre.

Seminar Format

5:30pm - Light refreshments

6:00pm - Introduction of speakers by Chairman

6:05pm - Seminar commences

7:00pm - Networking buffet and disperse
