This informative and interactive workshop is specifically designed to meet the needs of small and medium sized businesses and will be lead by Dr. Lee Martin and Dr. Andrew Greenman from Nottingham University Business School's Institute for Enterprise and Innovation (UNIEI).  They will introduce participants to proven tools and techniques to develop novel solutions to their business problems. Participants will be encouraged to work together with colleagues from non competing businesses to explore common issues they may face. Example problems from previous sessions include:

· How to choose new markets for existing products or services

· How to develop systems to allow you to delegate decision making

· How to develop a common strategic view across different departments

Throughout the day, groups will work together to a gain a deeper understanding of the root causes of their chosen problem; encourage the generation of novel ideas and to help evaluate and prioritise their implementation. By the end of the day participants will have a clearer understanding of how to address the issue within their business and also have experience of problem solving methods that they can use on new issues as they arise.

The workshop will start at 0930 and finish no later than 1600; lunch will be provide as will refreshments throughout the day. The price of £50 per person includes a copy of all the material delivered throughout the workshop.
